Pathogen and Species Detection by eDNA

Using cutting-edge tools to detect aquatic pathogens and elusive species

Environmental DNA (eDNA) testing is a new tool on the cutting edge of wildlife conservation, habitat management, and cryptic species and pathogen detection. This methodology detects genetic material from water samples from ponds and breeding pools, and can change the way wildlife biologists survey habitats for elusive species and pathogens of concern.
