Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Wendy Leuenberger is a quantitative ecologist who uses statistical models to understand species and community dynamics in response to environmental change so as to develop guidance on appropriate conservation actions.

As a K. Lisa Yang Center for Wildlife Health Postdoctoral Fellow, Wendy focuses specifically on the effects of insecticide regulations on bee communities in the United States and Canada. She collaborates with a network of conservation practitioners, policy groups, and academics to translate research findings into impact. Prior to coming to Cornell, she completed her PhD on butterfly declines and conservation at Michigan State University and worked as a biometrician at the University of Kentucky.
