Cornell veterinary student Victoria Albano ’21 traveled to Belize Zoo to gain hands-on experience with a diverse group of Central American species.

The residents of the Belize Zoo have a brand-new veterinary clinic that will serve the medical needs of everyone from Sparks the tapir to Chiqui the jaguar. Members of the College of Veterinary Medicine celebrated this milestone with zoo staff when the clinic opened this summer.

College of Veterinary Medicine students have partnered with the Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center, gaining valuable experiences they will never forget.
